Plot:  Jason has been prophesied to take the throne of Thessaly. When he saves Pelias from drowning, but does not recognize him as the man who had earlier killed his father, Pelias tells Jason to travel to Colchis to find the Golden Fleece. Jason follows his advice and assembles a sailing crew of the finest men in Greece, including Hercules. They are under the protection of Hera, queen of the gods. Their voyage is replete with battles against harpies, a giant bronze Talos, a hydra, and an animated skeleton army, all brought to life by the special effects wizardry of Ray Harryhausen.

Plot:  In the small English village of Midwich everybody and everything falls into a deep, mysterious sleep for several hours in the middle of the day. Some months later every woman capable of child-bearing is pregnant and the children that are born out of these pregnancies seem to grow very fast and they all have the same blond hair and strange, penetrating eyes that make people do things they don't want to do.

Plot:  Chronicles the breakout of the Bismarck during the early days of World War Two. Seen both from the point of view of the many naval vessels on both sides and from the central headquarters of the British where the search for the super battleship was controlled.
Rotten Tomatoes:   The Bismarck is a German battle ship that is the scourge of the British Navy in World War II. When the ship sinks the battleship Hood, the British plan an all out search for the Nazi war vessel. A daring and suspenseful cat and mouse game ensues, complete with warfare being waged in the frigid North Atlantic waters and spectacular battle scenes. Based on a true story, the popularity of the film was greatly enhanced by the title tracked hit record by singer Johnny Horton, who's "Battle Of New Orleans" was the top record of 1959.

Plot:  In 1860, cranky old miser Ebenezer Scrooge hates Christmas; loathes people and defends the decrease of the surplus of poor population; runs his bank exploiting his employee Bob Cratchit and clients, giving a bitter treatment to his own nephew and acquaintances. However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley that tells him that three spirits would visit him that night. The first one, the spirit of Christmas Past, recalls his miserable youth when he lost his only love due to his greed; the spirit of Christmas Present shows him the poor situation of Bob's family and how joyful life may be; and the spirit of Christmas Future shows his fate. Scrooge finds that life is good and time is too short and suddenly you are not there anymore, changing his behavior toward Christmas, Bob, his nephew and people in general.
Rotten Tomatoes:   This is the eighth film version of Charles Dickens' most widely read story that was first published in 1843. This engaging musical by Leslie Bricusse finds Scrooge (Albert Finney) as the parsimonious miser with a heart of stone who hates the revelry of the Christmas holiday. He is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley (Alec Guinness) who warns Scrooge he will walk the Earth forever tormented if he fails to change his ways. He is visited by three spirits, the ghosts of Christmas Past (Edith Evans), Present (Kenneth More), and Future (Paddy Stone). Scrooge feels compassion for Tiny Tim (Richard Beaumont), the crippled but hopeful son of his underpaid and overworked bookkeeper Bob Crachit (David Collings). Laurence Naismith plays Fezziwig, Scrooge's first boss who showed great kindness and generosity to his employees. Susan Neve makes her film debut as Isabel, the fiance Scrooge jilted to focus on his love for money. Thirteen songs are performed in what has endured to be an annual holiday musical classic.

Plot:  A mysterious, very old solicitor Mr. Blunden visits Mrs. Allen and her young children in her squalid, tiny Camden Town flat and makes her an offer she cannot refuse.
