Rotten Tomatoes: This 1968 children's film centers around a meeting of monsters--including Dracula, the Mummy, the Werewolf, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and others--to elect a replacement for their leader, Baron Boris von Frankenstein (voice of Boris Karloff). 58% (1) The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell 92 min, G, [Comedy, War] [Frank Tashlin] [08 May 1968]
Ratings & Reviews: IMDb Reviews: 58%, External Reviews
Actors: Bob Hope, Jeffrey Hunter, Mylène Demongeot, Phyllis Diller
Writer: Robert M. Fresco (story), John L. Greene (story), Frank Tashlin
External Links: Wikipedia Rotten Tomatoes IMDb Language: English Country: USA
Plot: Sgt. O'Farrell an Army soldier on an island in the South Pacific during World War II is trying to bring the two basics of life to his fellow servicemen, women and beer. The supply ship carrying the beer is torpedoed and the contingent of nurses consists of six males and ugly nurse Nellie Krause. If he could at least try to salvage the shipment of beer.
Rotten Tomatoes: O'Farrell (Bob Hope) is a navy sergeant who tries to boost the moral of the men by bringing in a shipment of beer. When the beer turns up missing, he calls an all-out search for the suds. In the process, O'Farrell captures a Japanese submarine single-handedly and tries to pilot the boat to safety. Phyllis Diller stars as the nurse who does absolutely nothing for troop moral in this uneven and poorly conceived comedy. Gina Lollobrigida and Jeffrey Hunter also star in the feature.

Ratings & Reviews: IMDb Reviews: 55%, External Reviews
Actors: Bob Hope, Jonathan Winters, Phyllis Diller, Shirley Eaton
Writer: Bob Fisher (story), Albert E. Lewin, Arthur Marx (story), Burt Styler
External Links: Wikipedia Rotten Tomatoes IMDb Language: English Country: USA
Plot: Bank teller and widower with seven kids, Bob Hope finds $10,000 in a parking lot. His luck quickly changes when it's discovered that his bank discovers a substantial money shortage in their books. Now Hope and his large family are forced to take it on the lam. His children's baby-sitter Phyllis Diller protects Hope from her dim-witted cop boyfriend Jonathan Winters while he hides out, hoping to get to the true cause of his dilemma. Past and future "Bond Girls" Shirley Eaton ("Goldfinger") and Jill St. John ("Diamonds Are Forever") play a schoolteacher and a gold-digger and Winters plays his own mother!
Rotten Tomatoes: Eight On The Lam is a good example of a fine cast that can do nothing to help a weak script. Bank teller Henry Dimsdale (Bob Hope) takes off with his housekeeper Golda (Phyllis Diller) and his seven children after being accused of embezzlement. Jasper Lynch (Jonathan Winters) is called in to track down Dimsdale and the missing money. Austin Willis plays Henry's scheming boss Mr. Pomeroy. Five different screenwriters are responsible for this mess that is the worst of the hopelessly unfunny Hope comedies of the 1960s.

55% (1) Boy, Did I Get a Wrong Number! 99 min, Approved, [Comedy] [George Marshall] [08 Jun 1966]
Ratings & Reviews: IMDb Reviews: 56%, External Reviews
Awards: 2 nominations.
Actors: Bob Hope, Cesare Danova, Elke Sommer, Phyllis Diller
Writer: George Beck (story), George Kennett, Albert E. Lewin, Burt Styler
External Links: Wikipedia Rotten Tomatoes IMDb Language: English Country: USA
Plot: The Divine Didi, a European actress known more for her bubble bath scenes than for her acting, decides she has had enough with bubble baths and wants to be taken seriously as an actress. So much so that she runs away during the middle of a scene while filming in Hollywood and winds up in Oregon. While she is staying in a hotel, the operator accidentally connects her with a real estate agent named Tom Meade. She asks Tom to bring her some food and when he does he suggests that she go to his cabin in the woods. She also asks him not to tell anyone where she is because she doesn't want to go back to Hollywood. Now Tom must keep the secret, especially from his wife and from his suspicious housekeeper Millie.
Rotten Tomatoes: Usually cited as the absolute nadir of Bob Hope's film career, Boy, Did I Get a Wrong Number! is by no means a classic, but it isn't nearly as bad as some of his other sixties efforts (take a look a Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell sometime). The plot is set in motion by movie sex bomb Elke Sommer, who flees from the set of her latest picture when she refuses to do yet another bathtub sequence. Sommer hides out in the home of real estate agent Hope, who is forced to keep the buxom starlet under wraps lest his wife Marjorie Lord misunderstand. Phyllis Diller plays Hope's maid, who conspires with her boss to keep Sommer out of sight. The plot lumbers forward to a wild climax wherein Hope, accused of Sommer's murder (she's still very much alive), embarks upon a slapstick car chase, chock full of Sennett-like sight gags. Though cheaply produced and perilously anachronistic, Boy, Did I Get a Wrong Number! is professionally assembled by director George Marshall, a Hope colleague from way back. The film turned a tidy profit, thanks largely to the popularity of Hope's costar Phyllis Diller.
